Advisory Fuel Rates (AFRs) are the recommended reimbursement amount for drivers (usually those in company vehicles) that reclaim business mileage. These Advisory Fuel Rates are reviewed every year.

Diesel cars with an engine of 1,600cc or less

stays the same at 10 pence per mile (ppm)

Diesel cars with an engine of 1,600cc to 2,000cc

decrease by a penny to 11ppm

Diesel cars with an engine of over 2,000cc

13ppm

Petrol cars with an engine of 1,400cc or less 

decrease by a penny to 11ppm

Petrol cars with an engine of 1,400cc to 2,000cc

14ppm

Petrol cars with an engine of over 2,000cc

21ppm

LPG vehicles with an engine of 1,400cc or less

decrease by a penny to 7ppm

LPG vehicles with an engine of 1,600cc to 2,000cc
