ABAX Driver app overzicht

De ABAX Driver App is een ondersteuningstool voor bedrijven die de diensten van ABAX gebruiken. Met de app kan een chauffeur zijn ritten beheren, kilometerregistratie beheren, zijn rijstijl bekijken en verbeteren met scores en intuïtieve tips, en een live locaties zien van alle machines en gereedschappen… Plus nog veel meer.

De Driver-app heeft maximaal 5 hoofdmenu-opties:

Trips:

Geeft u een overzicht van al uw ritten met de meest recente als eerste. Voor meer informatie over het menu ‘Ritten’- zie ‘Kaartoverzicht’


Submit:

Alleen zichtbaar als u een zakelijke kilometervergoeding moet declareren – bijv. u rijdt in een auto van de zaak. Hiermee kunt u een tijdsperiode selecteren en een digitale kilometerclaim naar uw beheerder sturen. Voor meer informatie over het menu 'Verzenden' – zie 'Hoe dien ik een zakelijke kilometervergoeding in?'


Driving:

Alleen zichtbaar als uw bedrijf rijgedrag gebruikt. Geeft u een overzicht van uw rijstijl in 5 rijgedragstatistieken. Voor meer informatie over het menu 'Bestuurder' – zie Wat is mijn rijscore en hoe kan ik verbeteren?


Map:

Geeft realtime locatie van uw voertuig en andere activa binnen uw bedrijf (zoals apparatuur, machine en gereedschappen). Voor meer informatie over het menu ‘Kaart’ – zie ‘Kaartoverzicht


Settings:

'Instellingen': Hiermee kunt u uw informatie bijwerken of uw accountvoorkeuren aanpassen. Voor meer informatie over het menu ‘Instellingen’ – zie ‘Overzicht instellingen'


Hoe download en log ik in?

De Driver app is beschikbaar in de App Store en GooglePlay – zoek naar “ABAX Driver” of gebruik de onderstaande knoppen: (Links zijn verschillend voor elk land)

  • Download en open de app. 
  • Het startscherm vraagt om de inloggegevens van uw chauffeur – dit zijn dezelfde gegevens die u gebruikt om via een browser in te loggen op uw chauffeursaccount.  

Opmerking: als u zowel beheerder als chauffeur bent, heeft u twee verschillende logins: een voor uw beheerdersaccount (om uw wagenpark te beheren) en een voor uw chauffeursaccount (om uzelf te beheren). Zie hier XXXX voor informatie over de ABAX Admin app.

  • If you are unsure what your login details are, use the ‘Lost Password?’ option and a username reminder and password reset will be sent to your mobile by SMS.  
  • Follow the instructions on the screen to create a new password. 

Note: The password must be at least 8 characters long and contain a lowercase and uppercase letter and a number. 


Trip Management

How do I manage my trips? 

If you need to manage your trips to submit a business mileage claim – you can do this all very quickly from the ‘Trips’ menu in the app.  

  • Open the ‘Trips’ menu in the Driver app.  
  • The trip list will show all trips driven within a certain period by you in your vehicle listed most recent first – You can filter the list using the calendar in the top left or the 'Filter' icon. 
  • Each trip will contain the start and end location, the time, the distance and whether the trip is business or private.  

Note: Trips are privacy compliant. The general rule is: 

  • When driving a van, your trip list is visible to your admin.  
  • When driving a company or private car your trip list is not visible with your admin until you have submitted a business mileage claim – after which only your business trips will be visible to them.

When managing your trip list, you want to ensure all business and private trips are marked accordingly. You can change them in several ways – press the ‘Edit’ button, tap the B or P, press and hold the trip or click to open the trip on a map.  

  • To be tax compliant, a business trip must contain a purpose. If the purpose is missing, it will be highlighted in red. You can add or change a purpose the same way you switch from business to private. 
  • If you need further information about a trip, click on it to open up the route in a map – swipe up for even more details. 

How do I submit a business mileage claim?

This option is only visible in the Driver app if you need to submit business mileage claims – e.g. you drive a car for business mileage. Before submitting your business mileage claim, you should have thoroughly managed your trips to ensure everything is accurate. For more information, see: How do I manage my trips?

  • Open the ‘Submit’ menu in the Driver app.  
  • Select your period from the calendar and press ‘Submit’ to load your report.

When managing your trip list, you want to ensure all business and private trips are marked accordingly. You can change them in several ways – press the ‘Edit’ button, tap the B or P, press and hold the trip or click to open the trip on a map.  

  • Check that your details and business mileage allowances are correct. If they are, sign in the empty field. If they are not, you can edit these from the ‘Trips’ and ‘Settings’ menus.  
  • Press the ‘Deliver’ button when you are happy to submit your business mileage to your admin.  

Driving Behaviour

What is my driving score and how do I improve it?

The ‘Driving’ menu is only visible if your company uses the Driving Behaviour service. It gives you an overview of your driving style across 5 driving behaviour metrics – acceleration, braking, left cornering, right cornering and idling. These individual metrics are averaged to give you your total driving score.

  • Open the ‘Driving’ menu in the Driver app. 
  • Each driving metric is scored out of 100, with 0 being the lowest. 
  • Your company may set their own internal guidelines, but any score of 80+ is considered a benchmark. 

Click on any of the metrics for tips on how to improve. These tips are specific to you and your driving score – so following them will help improve your score!

Map

Map overview

  • Open the ‘Map’ menu in the Driver app.  
  • On the map you will see your vehicle and all assets that are visible to you in your company – these may be equipment and tools.

You can find the full equipment list by swiping up the ‘List of assets’ option or use the search option in the top right to find a specific asset.  

Note: For more information on map icons, see ‘What are the different map icons?’

There are up to four icons in the bottom right:

  1. Is used to zoom out to show all your assets on one map. 
  2. Is used to zoom in to your location or your vehicles location. 
  3. Changes the map type and allows you to toggle on or off asset labels. 
  4. (Only available if your company is using the ABAX Mini service). Allows you to proactively scan for nearby Mini’s - for more information see ‘How do I find my tools using the Driver app?’

How do I find my tools using the Driver app?

If your company is using the ABAX Mini to track their equipment or tools. You can use your Driver app to scan for updated positions. You no longer need to waste time looking for lost or misplaced tools!  

Note: This feature will not work until you allow Bluetooth permissions from within the app. 

  • Open the ‘Map’ menu in the Driver app.  
  • On the map you will see all assets that are visible to you in your company – these may be equipment and tools. For more information about the map see ‘Map overview’. 
  • To turn on Bluetooth permissions, choose the icon and toggle on the option.  
  • Now, every time you open the Driver app your phone will automatically scan for nearby Mini’s – updating their position in the map for you and all others within your company. 
  • To proactively scan yourself, press the icon and then press ‘scan’.  

Other

Settings overview

The ‘Settings’ menu allows you to update your information or adjust your account preferences.

  • Open the ‘Settings’ menu in the Driver app.  
  • From here you can: 
SettingOPTIONS
VehicleUpdate your vehicle details including - reg no., make, model, name, type and class. 
User details Update your user details including- name, email, username, address and mobile number.  
My purposes Add a new trip purpose to the default list making it even easier to add a purpose to a business trip. 
Biometry login Toggle login via fingerprint on or off. 
Odometer Submit an updated odometer reading. 
Service View the vehicles servicing details (can only be updated by your admin).
